Short bio:

Jim was confronted with the Risen Jesus in 1975, as a 3rd year student at Edinburgh University, powerfully converted and immediately experiencing a call to full-time Christian service, which he entered in 1980, after completing degrees in both Law and Theology. He has served as a minister in Church of Scotland, Independent and Baptist congregations.

Married since 1979 to Jennifer, an English language specialist teacher and with two grown up kids, a doctor and a pastor, Jim is a keen swimmer and enjoys networking and travelling.

Earning a theology doctorate from Aberdeen University in 1994, Jim has since taught and supervised theological research part-time in a number of seminary settings, chiefly at the International Baptist Theological Study Centre, now in Amsterdam. Jim’s published works focus on the interface between Theology and Christian Spirituality, mission and ministry.
